Booking Conditions




If you postpone your date for whatever reason you may lose all or some of your monies paid. If we can reschedule the date with you at no extra cost we will do so.


If we cancel or postpone your date you will lose no monies paid and you may either receive a full refund or carry these monies forward to a future date.


Down Days


Bad weather, bad water conditions or lack of fish catches are outside our control. In the event that a day is spoilt by any factor outside the control of Wild Rise Co no refund of any monies paid will be made. However, where bad weather is involved we will make every effort to ensure another fishing option is offered for that day, if at all possible.


In matters of safety the decision of the guide/instructor is final and no refund of monies paid will be made if it is necessary to stop fishing at any stage in the day.


Payment Terms


A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold the booking. If the booking is made less than three months before the fishing the full amount will be required to make the booking.


Deposits paid are not refundable, the balance for the package you have booked is payable three months before the start date of the fishing. 


Unless notice of cancellation is received before the balance payment date the balance will be remain payable and due. It is your responsibility to take out travel insurance to cover the cost of sickness and unforeseen eventualities.


If your trip has to be cancelled by Wild Rise Co. a full refund of monies paid by will be made, however, no further liability will be accepted.


Wild Rise Co will not be liable for any cost and/or loss you incur which is as a result of your actions or the actions of a third party unconnected with Wild Rise Co which Wild Rise Co could not reasonably foresee or forestall, any unusual or unforeseeable event beyond reasonable control of Wild Rise Co.


It is a fundamental booking condition that you accept the hazards involved in river fishing and engaging in potentially dangerous activities. If you are taking part in any of our activities you should be covered by adequate insurance for the duration of the and for the activities undertaken. The insurance must cover for cancellation and curtailment, medical and emergency expenses (including repatriation), personal accident, injury and death. In addition you should be insured against loss of or damage to baggage, personal possessions and flight cancellations and delays.


Your contract is with Megalops Ltd which is covered by insurance up to a maximum of £10,000,000 in any one event.


Megalops Ltd does not accept liability for death, bodily injury or illness unless this arises from a negligent act or omission during the course of the activities.


By confirming your booking you acknowledge that Wild Rise Co has taken all reasonable steps to safeguard its liability in this respect.


Wild Rise Co. operates under Scottish Law and only Scottish Law applies to these terms and conditions.
